Herbert Shorts is a cartoon series owned and operated by The HensStuff Co. (The Kackling Hens). This page covers the automation that uploads the series to its YouTube channel and the Herbert Shorts Discord server's viewer request bot.
Herbert Shorts uses YouTube API Services. By using features that connect to YouTube, you are agreeing to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's data practices are described in the Google Privacy Policy. Herbert Shorts' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
With the owner's Google authorization, the automation uploads videos, sets their thumbnails, descriptions, tags and audience settings, adds them to playlists on the owner's own YouTube channel, and reads that channel's playlist list. It accesses no one else's Google account or YouTube data. No Google user data is collected from other people, shared, sold, or transferred to third parties. OAuth tokens are stored only inside the owner's own self-hosted automation software.
Data obtained through YouTube API Services (the owner's channel playlist list and the identifiers of videos the tool has uploaded) is kept only on the owner's own server, only for as long as it is needed to run the automation. When the owner revokes access, the stored OAuth tokens are deleted and the tool can no longer reach the channel. To ask for any stored data to be deleted, email the address below.
Google access can be revoked at any time through the Google security settings page or at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Viewers may submit cartoon ideas through the /request command in the Herbert Shorts Discord server. When you submit a request, we receive and store what you type into the form (title, topic, description and chosen characters) along with your Discord username and user ID.
We use this only to consider your idea, to produce a short if it is chosen, to credit you if you wish, and to contact you about your request. We do not sell or share it with third parties, and we do not use it for advertising. Requests are kept on the owner's own server. Discord itself handles your account under Discord's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
To have your requests deleted, email the address below or message the server owner on Discord.
Herbert Shorts' videos are also available on Instagram and Facebook, which are operated by Meta Platforms, Inc. Use of those services is governed by the Instagram Terms of Use, the Facebook Terms of Service, and the Meta Privacy Policy. This site does not share visitor data with Meta.
This site does not use accounts, collect visitor data, or store videos. Videos are watched on YouTube, Instagram and Facebook under their own policies.
